CONDUIT, Ballymacoll's homebred four time Group 1 winner, ran out a brave fourth in the 2009 Japan Cup at Fuchu, Tokyo. Conduit had his final race course start less than three weeks since his second victory in the Breeders' Cup Turf in California. Given this, along with the wide draw and steady pace in the race, he lost nothing in defeat and as always tried his heart out.

 

Conduit has been a fantastic servant to Ballymacoll over the last two years and will now begin his well deservered retirement. He will stand at Mr Shigeyuki Okada's Big Red Farm in Japan.
